Wilma Myrtle Ruder's Obituary
Wilma Myrtle Ruder is now with her husband, Fred Ruder Sr. after 60 years of marriage. Teen-age sweethearts, they were married June 12,1949 at Elyria Methodist Church. Wilma raised 4 children with the kindest heart. She kept a mental record of birthdays for every aunt, uncle, cousin, grandchild and great-grandchild. She was a great baker of apple pies and would give them to her favorites. Cooking, gardening and bird watching made her most happy. If she saw a cardinal or a bluebird in her garden, it would make her day. A full bird feeder was her daily goal. All it would take is 2 hours with Wilma and you would remember her. The thank you’s she gave were so heartfelt. If you got at least one thank you, you were hooked.
Wilma is survived by her children Fred Jr. (Sharon Diane), Ted (Sharon) and Theresa (David) Knarr; grandchildren David Knarr Jr., Heather Mowinski, Tristan Knarr; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Delores Krusz; brother Leroy Berner. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Sr.; son Dennis; parents Carl and Katherine Berner; sister Bernice Smith; brothers Edwin and Carl Berner and William Joy.
