William "Bill" Welter's Obituary
William “Bill” Welter, age 96, passed away January 1, 2016 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville.
He was born in Lorain and has been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1933.
Bill was a factory worker most of his life, following retirement, he worked for Tom’s Country Place, Avon.
He was a member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville, and enjoyed farming and traveling, especially to Alaska. Bill was in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Judy Gill of Sheffield Village, OH, Nancy Welter of Middle Bass Island, and Beth (Frank) Motta of New Concord, OH; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (nee Sprague) Welter; sons, Jack and Bill Welter; parents, John and Edith Welter; son-in-law, Ernie Gill; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Friends may call Monday, January 5, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville, OH 44039.
Rev. Bob Franco will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for a future memorial at Tom’s Country Place are suggested to FCA Properties, 36789 Mills Rd. North Ridgeville, OH 44039.
