William "Bill" Joseph Bagi Sr.'s Obituary
William Joseph Bagi Sr. “Bill”, age 86, of Elyria, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Heights.
He was born on March 3, 1931 in Cleveland and has been a resident of Elyria for the past 20 years, moving from Texas. Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and went on to become a heavy equipment operator for B & L Excavating.
Running heavy equipment wasn’t just a job to Bill, he enjoyed doing it in his free time too, especially the bulldozer. In his free time, he enjoyed gambling and fishing.
Bill is survived by his companion of 15 years, Jackie Sopko; sons John Bagi of Alaska, Bill Jr. (Frances) Bagi of Texas, Michael (Nancy) Bagi of Columbia Station; daughters Debbie (Charles) Hawley of Elyria and Cindy Reasor of Elyria; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister Ethel Alten of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth (nee Olah) Bagi; brother John Bagi; sisters Barbara Young and Dorothy Reeves.
Funeral Services Sunday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Larry Beckman will officiate. Interment will be private.
