Thomas S. Schultz III's Obituary
Thomas S. Schultz III, age 74, of Oberlin, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Mercy Health in Lorain. He was born on September 12, 1951, in England, and has lived in Oberlin for the past 5 years, moving from North Ridgeville, where he had been a lifelong resident. He worked as a fire captain for the North Ridgeville Fire Department, retiring after 35 years of service. From an early age, Tom loved being outdoors, running trap lines, hunting and fishing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his life, and enjoyed working with his hands, building unique items he enjoyed tinkering with.
He is survived by his loving wife Ruby; siblings Noella Schultz of West Hamlin, WV, Lynn Grundy of Belleview, FL, Timothy (Michele) Schultz of TX, Theodore Schultz of Annapolis, MD, Amy Sexton of Parma, Anne Marie Schultz of North Ridgeville; many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Senta (nee Heidekruger) and Thomas Schultz Jr.; brother-in-law Ken Grundy.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, on Friday, January 16th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Bruce Harwedel will officiate. Interment will be in Camden Cemetery in Camden Township.
