It's been three years. I pray that each of the family become closer and reunite their hearts with God as we remember Suzie as a wonderful soul whose light will not ever go out in our hearts. I truly miss you sis and know that you are in God's loving embrace. Love to your children. I know they miss your kind heart and fun laugh.
I was neighbors with the Shepherd family for many years and was very sorry to hear of Suzie's passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers and have my most sincere sympathy.

Dear family,
As a ex-recruiter friend of Kathy Shepherd who shared many a story about our families over the past 20 years, I know of the deep bond she had with Suzie. Living in the San Jose area, I also know Kris, who helps me with my computer problems from time to time, and Fara, whom I helped get a job with the company where I worked when she first came out to California.
I was so saddened to hear Suzie is now gone and realize how devastated you all must be. As I told Kathy in an email:
Don't hold back on the tears. It's nature's way of releasing the pain and grief. Don't be surprised if you burst into tears when least expected---driving down the highway, in the supermarket, or even cooking dinner. Memories will visit you and interrupt your day. Just cherish them, hold them close to your heart, and bawl."
Celebrate Suzie's life and the time she was hear on earth with you. Then, love each other dearly because, as Kathy said to me, "You never know when [they] may be taken from you."

I grew up with Suzie. Our parents were very close, as were we as kids. My memories of Suzie are many, but time and distance kept us apart for many years. My fondest thought was a visit my sister and I made to Susie's house a few years ago when all the sisters were at her house. The time we spent together was like we were never apart. We had such a good time laughing over the times when we were together as kids at their house in Warren, Oh. I will treasure the fun and laughter. Luv ya, Suz!

Know that after many years Thie and I got together at her house with Suzie and her sisters and every memory we had seemed like yesterday. Although we just met Bruce for the first time,he was so kind to make us feel at home. Well,another long time between visits,but still in my heart. Luv ya Suz!
Dad, i was with you through this hardest of times and shared in the pain of enduring this awful tragedy. Always know that we love you and do not ever hesitate to pick up that phone and call ANY of us for ANYTHING. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I love you and hang in there pops.

Although it has been more than 35 years or more since i had last seen Sue, when i heard the sad news of her passing - the memory of Susan's laughter, sense of humor, & intelligence came instantly to mind.
