Russell S Lovell, 77 of North Ridgeville, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack Wednesday, March 15, 2006 EMH Regional Medical Center. He was born January 23, 1929 in Cleveland and resided in Fairview Park until moving to Nort Read Obituary
My heart goes out to you all and I wish I could have attended the services. Russ was always so jolly and his smile just made you love him instantly. I'll always remember the almost all-nighters of canasta playing my mom and dad did with them for so many years. I'm so glad Russ and my Dad were friends, it led to a life-long frienship with his daughters I'll always cherish. My condolences to the family, I know he will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Our many condolences. I feel very saddened by your loss of Russ, and another link to fond memories of our younger years. I?ll always remember visiting your house on Friday nights in the early 60?s, when Dad always bought me a model to build so that I would stay out of everyone?s hair for at least an hour. Jo and Russ could always be heard laughing over those canasta games. And the later 60?s, when you used to visit us in LeRoy (Westfield Center), Russ and Dad were still kids at heart, joining neighbor Bruce B. and me on treks into the woods with BB guns and fireworks. And flying our gas powered model airplanes, blowing them up while flying when they became damaged beyond adequate repair.
I wish we could make it up there to join everyone. We have you in our thoughts and prayers.

I will always remember Russ with that smile on his face. Any time I saw him it was always there. I found this poem I would like to share with you. My heart goes out to all of you for your loss.
When the warmth of the sun touches my face,
I see your smile and feel your embrace.
I hear the whisper of love in the wind
And I know that you are close to me again
The rain speaks of tears and the thunder of pain,
But soon the sun comes the earth to reclaim.

This poem reminded me of the Beautiful jewelry Russ used to make. And he definitely was a "diamond".
