Russ was my favorite bagger when I worked at Rini Rego's in Westlake. He was very funny. One of my favorite memories of him was when a lady came through my line with a HUGE bag of peanuts. Russ held them up and, with a completely straight face, said to the lady, "Do you have an elephant at home, ma'am?"

It's February 9th 2013, and I just found out you passed. I am deeply saddened. I really dont know what else to say. My heart is heavier now. My condolences go out to your family. This is just not fair. Russ, I am grateful I had the chance to know you.

Russ, I had a hard time today without you. I think about you every day, but for some reason, today was really bad. I will love you forever. You changed my outlook on things when nobody else could. I wish you were here to see the difference. Whenever I drive past your parents' house I always put out my hand to your Mom and send her my strength. I have no idea how she faces life without you. My prayers are with your family every day. Thank you for everything you did for me.
