When I think about you. I remember when you and grandpa lived in Florida and we came over to your house to eat dinner. You would be in the kitchen cooking red meat and choclocate cake. Uncle Gary and I would be in front of the tv watching the Dallas Cowboys playing and cheering them on. At dinner you would get onto granpa for all the salt he would put on his dinner and if he was not careful he would end up salt pills. I always had so fun coming see you and now its hard to believe that you are not with us anymore. I miss you so much but you will always be in my heart and my memories. I love you Grandma Rose.

Though you met me only once on your southern trip to Donna's - you have been on my mind and in my heart during your illness, especially these past few weeks. Donna has always spoken with much love as she shared stories of your lives together as sisters. I told Donna -it is as if I'd known you; and that I fully realized what a wonderful person you were - because you helped nuture the qualities and instill the values as a gentle teacher and role model in the life of your younger sister, my dear friend. I am so blessed she and I ("yankees" at heart) met down south and I that I found such an honest, loyal, generous, loving, strong, faithful and wise person as a friend. Thank you for being such a wonderful sister and person to everyone around you. I know how close the two of you were and I know how devoted and how much she loves you. I will always miss you....and have such wonderful memories of growing up in Carteret near you. I remember Christmas and Easter dinners at your house there, 4th of July, and swimming in your pool in the summer. I remember our trip to Tampa, you were so happy to have us all there and playing "i buy" and drinking kahlua and cream and pina coladas. I remember riding with you and Uncle John around Tampa and how scared you were with his driving lol
I also remember your trip to Lopez before you moved there and Leigh and I talking you into piercing your ears and getting acrylic nails on. You always made me laugh, and felt very welcome whenever I came over to see you in Lopez. I know you are with Michael and Nanny and all of the "aunts", and I will see you again. Love you always, your "God-kid" ........Doreen
