AUNT ROSE WAS A MOST WONDERFUL AUNT AND PERSON. AS A CHILD WHAT I REMEMBER MOST WAS HOLIDAY VISITS TO HER HOUSE AND HER INCREDIBLE DESSERTS. A MEMORABLE TIME THAT I SPENT WITH HER WAS IN FLORIDA IN 1974 WHEN AS AN ADULT I FULLY UNDERSTOOD WHAT A PERSONABLE AND BEAUTIFUL LADY SHE WAS. IN HER LAST FIVE YEARS OF LIFE I HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO ENJOY HER COMPANY ON MY YEARLY VISITS TO CLEVELAND. SHE WAS STILL SHARP, FUNNY AND PERSONABLE. IN 1974 WE WENT TO THE MOVIE 'THE WAY WE WERE'. TOGETHER. ROSE, I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE WAY WE WERE!
GOOD EVENING, VOPAT FAMILY!
I'm saddened to read of Grandma's passing after a long and very fruitful life.
I remember as a being a Welcome Wagon lady but also remember her as a faithful patron of the North Ridgeville Branch of the Lorain Public Library.
My oldest sister Joyce was a member of the Junior Women's Club that was instrumental in getting a library branch in the community. And, I later worked as a page and other things at the library.
Jen, I'm sure you remember me also for all of the years that I worked at the Chronicle.
Again, I'm sorry to know of this event and send my sympathies to all of you.
JERRY HENSON
Rest in peace beautiful Rose
