Dear Cousins,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father. I have warm memories of your Dad and Mom during visits to Cleveland and at my parents family reunions in Columbus. It was always interesting talking to your Dad! I know how hard it is to lose a parent and hope your great memories and faith are a comfort to you and your Mom.
With sympathy, Mimi Kaps Rose
Kathy, Teri, and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Lin Misencik informed me today is the wake and tomorrow the funeral. I wish I could be with you to lend a warm hand and a hug on this day of loss.
The last time we saw each other was at Aunt Mary's funeral in Cleveland in the fall of 2008. I remember your Dad and your Mom and all of you sitting at the table during the family luncheon and our happy conversation, enjoying the rare opportunity to see each other, even if the reason was grieving a loss. Your Dad had a lovely smile that day. I loved that he enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sailor/boatsman. I wish I had known him better, but I'm glad that's my last memory of him--radiating good energy, a full spirit, and at peace with himself.
I'm with you in spirit and will keep you all in my prayers during this time of loss. Please give your Mom a big, long hug and extend my sympathy to her.
With love,
Cousin Jack Hilovsky
We are so saddened by your Dad's passing. He will be missed. Thankfully he was in your loving care during his final days. See you tonight.
Love, Lin & Tim
Two things I'll always have because of him, a firm handshake and a good sense of humor.

Rich was a wonderful person and a great asset on the water. Fortunately for me, we had the opportunity to work together for many races. Always friendly and helpful, he was a delight to be with. He will be missed by all racers at EYC, not only for his on water skills, but also for the real gentleman he was.
A wonderful. kind, and gentle man... I spent many hours with him on the water, discussing "regrettas" past and future, and I treasure those memories... he gave much, and asked for little... he will be missed by many...
To the man who always did his best for his family: Growing up we never lacked anything; dad saw to that. He taught us about love, family, honesty, integrity, hard work, respect, and humor; I’ll never forget laughing at the kitchen table when I was 5 years old! I’ll always treasure driving out to California and back in a Volkswagen Beetle, spending summers together at state parks and lakes, and our farms in Chatham and Killbuck, and the cottage at Marblehead. Dad was like a lighthouse; strong and sturdy, lighting the way home. I will miss him very much, and remember that he is always with me. Dad left us with many sayings, and my favorite is “there will be no disappointments in heaven”. Love you dad! Save a spot on a cloud, and I’ll see you shortly!
