Richard Jaenke's Obituary
Richard W. "Dick" Jaenke, age 78, a resident of North Ridgeville since 1996 and formerly of Strongsville, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, July 5, 2013 at his home. He was born July 31, 1934 in Cleveland to the late Harvey and Anna (nee Dorner) Jaenke. Dick married Patricia A. Woodard on June 12, 1954 and she lovingly survives.
Also left to cherish his memory are sons, Mark (Bernadette) of Parma, Scott (Janet) of Medina and Bruce (Karin) of Parma; and grandchildren, Megan, Chad, Thomas and Ben.
A brother, Ronald, also preceded him in death.
A 1952 graduate of West Tech High School, Dick was employed for 33 years with Ohio Bell, retiring as Section Manager. He also sold real estate for more than 30 years with both Coldwell Banker and Remax. Dick was very patriotic, serving in the Navy Reserves and the communities in which he resided. This included serving ten years on City Council in Strongsville with two years as Council President and three terms on City Council in North Ridgeville. He enjoyed spending time with his family and vacationing in Hilton Head. Dick will be remembered for his hard working and friendly, caring nature.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of memorial services at 1:30 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
