Richard D. "Rich" Gindlesperger's Obituary
Richard D. “Rich” Gindlesperger, age 66, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1974, moving from Parma.
Rich worked as a tool and die maker for General Motors Quality Control Metal Fabrication Division for 40 years, retiring in 2005.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Elyria, VFW Post 9871 Men’s Auxiliary and American Legion in North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed riding his Harley, boating, fishing, traveling in his RV, spending time with family and friends singing and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara “Bobbi” Gindlesperger; former wife, Linda Hodolic (Ed Kilbane) of Strongsville; son, Richard Jr. (Angela Holloway) Gindlesperger of Strongsville; daughter, Lori (Darren Habyl) Falcone of Olmsted Falls; step-daughter, Maurita “Gidget” Stauss of Dixon, Tennessee; step-son, Steve (Edie) Gilland of Nashville, Tennessee; son-in-law, Tony Gugliemotto of Altamont, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Don (Cathy) Gindlesperger of Freeport, Paul (Leona) Gindlesperger of Columbia Station; sister, Barbara (Dan) Zurcher of Brewster and sister-in-law, Pat Gindlesperger of Navarre.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Gugliemotto, who passed earlier that same day; parents, Lewis and Clara King and brother, Raymond, Gindlesperger.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Friday at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Pastor, Mike Husted will officiate.
Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery.
