Rev. Denver Daniel's Obituary
Rev. Denver Daniel, age 84, of Eaton Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Posey, West Virginia and had lived in Eaton Twp. since 1994, moving from North Ridgeville where he lived for 34 years.
He worked as a machine setter for Ford Motor Company for 30 years, retiring in 1984. In 1973 he founded Christian Unity Church in Grafton where he was the Pastor for 47 years.
Denver was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Norma J. (nee Wiley), daughter, Lynna (James) Clarke of Elyria, sons, Roger (Tammy) Daniel of Elyria, Terry Daniel of Woodville, MS, Denver (Dawn) Daniel of Elyria, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeremy Daniel, parents, Okey and Etta Daniel, brothers, Jim, Tom, Hubert, Dennis and Orvel Daniel, sisters, Bertie Hurst, Dorothy Daniel, and Leona Baughman.
Due to the current COVID 19 restrictions, the family will receive friends at Christian Unity Church 36353 West Capel Road, Grafton at designated reservation times only, the family kindly requests those wishing to attend go to https://signup.com/go/LjrSUsd. to reserve a time slot. A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family at River Road Cemetery.
A public celebrating of Denver’s life will be held at a later date when it is safe to do so.
Memorial contributions are suggested in Denver’s memory to Christian Unity Church Children’s Camp Fund, 36353 West Capel Road, Grafton Ohio 44044-9466.
