Paul Palaima's Obituary
Paul B. Palaima, age 60, of North Ridgeville, died Friday, September 2, 2005 at EMH Regional Medical Center; following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had lived in North Ridgeville the past 28 years; having moved from Cleveland.
Mr. Palaima was a graduate of Cleveland State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a Computer Numerical Control Programer for 16 years at the Ridge Tool Company, Elyria; until 2000.
The past two years he was a bus driver for the North Ridgeville City Schools.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
He was a life member of the VFW Post 2133-Cleveland and the Military Order of the Cootie, Grand Pup Tent of Ohio #1.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Elizabeth A. "Liz" (nee Hannus) Palaima; sons, David and Mark; daughter, Dawn Radford, all of North Ridgeville; grandson, Devin Radford, of North Ridgeville; sisters, Catherine Pilotti, of Eastlake and Ruth Garcia, of Penn Valley, CA; brother, Leo Palaima, of Sacramento, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter P. And Theresa C. (neeSchultheise) Palaima and brother, Mark Palaima.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where prayers will be said at 9:30 AM on Wednesday. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark; where Military Honors will be conducted by the North Ridgeville VFW Post 9871.
