Patricia A. Gazer's Obituary
Patricia A. Gazer (nee Kocinski), age 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Ames Family Hospice Center in Westlake, following a short illness.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan, grew up in Maple Heights and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1972, moving from Avon Lake.
Patricia received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Kent State University. She then went on to obtain a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Cleveland State University.
She taught in the North Ridgeville school system then went on to teach in the Cleveland schools for 16 years, retiring in 2001.
She was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church in North Ridgeville, where she sang in the choir.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, volunteering at Community Care and reading with several local book clubs. She enjoyed playing cards and Dominos and was an avid Bridge player.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Robert; daughter, Beth (Steve) Gazer-Jordan of Olmsted Twp.; son, Michael (Kelsy) Gazer of Seven Hills; grandchildren, Marissa, Alayna, Anthony, Thomas, Toby and Abby and sister, Marlene Maruna of Stow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph J. and Lottie (nee Kozlowski) Kocinski and brother, Joseph Kocinski Jr.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 10 AM followed by a 10:30AM Mass at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Road, North Ridgeville. Fr. George Vrabel, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
