Pamela May Westtcott aka Della May Benedict, age 43, of North Ridgeville, died Tuesday November 1, 2005 at Westlake Health Care Center following a long illness. She was born in Cleveland, where she had lived until moving to North Read Obituary

I represent the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation and want to express our sympathy to you on Pam's passing. It is clear that Pam touched many lives and will be missed. Pam was a unique, courageous and wonderful person. Her leadership and compassion as a breast cancer survivor helped ease the burden of cancer for others. Her passion to see breast cancer eradicated led her to educate others and focus their efforts on eradicating inflammatory breast cancer. She also was a tireless advocate for ensuring breast cancer patients had access to health care and quality of life. She was an incredibly strong person and will be missed. The Northern Ohio Breast Cancer Coalition expresses its condolences to Pam's friends and family.

I am not much for words, but I can say that Pam touched my life and others whom advocated for persons with disabilities in a very positive light. She let tracks in the sand for others to follow. May the good Lord bless and comfort you in this hour of your loss.

As a Caseworker with Cuyahoga County, I rarely come across a "client" that makes me glad I can provide a little help to, and be so appreciated in return! Pamela was a very unique person, and a joy to know. She taught me alot about her disease, and always handled herself with grace and dignity. She never let on how much pain she had to be enduring, but, instead focused on trying to educate people, while fighting her personal battle. I will truly miss Pamela, and want to thank you, her parents, for bringing such a wonderful person into the world. I offer you my deepest symphathy.
