Norma Hurst's Obituary
Norma B. Hurst (nee Heaton), age 88, of North Ridgeville, passed away at the Hospice Care Center of the Renaissance, Olmsted Falls.
She was born in Pinnebog of Huron County, Michigan and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 3 years. Norma spent most of her life in Muskegon, Michigan.
She worked as a nurse in Mental Health Care for the State of Michigan for many years, retiring in 1989.
Norma was very active in her community, a member of Friends of Hackley Public Library, several veteran's organizations and Native American charities. She also enjoyed reading, music and trips to the Frauenthal Arts Center.
Survivors include her sons, Edward (Patricia) of North Ridgeville, OH, Anthony Jr. of Muskegon, MI, William (Susan) of Muskegon, MI; daughters, Pamela (William) Wolters of Chesapeake, VA, Catherine (Bruce) Dumler of Centerville, OH; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Hurst Sr.; parents, Wesley and Blanche (nee Wolfe) Heaton; brothers, Edward and Jerry; sisters, Margaret and Georgine.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11 AM, from St. Julie Billiart Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio. Rev. Dr. Richard Gonser, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Internment of urn at a later date in Muskegon, Michigan.
