Mildred Hickman's Obituary
Mildred F. Hickman (nee Zorn), 87, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at home in Elyria.
Mildred was born on May 22, 1925 in Connellsville, PA. When she moved to Ohio, she lived in Lorain and Amherst for a while before settling in Elyria, where she has lived since 1954. Mildred was a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital, Lorain, retiring in 1990.
Mildred truly enjoyed life, whether it was attending Sugar Ridge Baptist Church or participating with the Silver Sneakers or mall walkers in Elyria. She had many hobbies that include flower gardening, quilting, crochet, cooking and needle point.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne (Lonnie) Hayden of Mishawaka, IN; sons, Harold Williams of Tuscon, AZ, Wesley Williams of Elyria and Keith (Roberta) Williams of Georgia; step-son, Jerry (Mary) Hickman of Elyria; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Moon; brothers, Robert, Sidney and Frank Zorn.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Wade Williams; second husband, John Hickman; son, David Williams; sister, Cora "Dolly" Hugh; and brother, Eugene Zorn.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, and on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 12 noon until time of service at 1 PM, at Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, 36600 Sugar Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
The Reverend Michael Manosky will officiate. Interment, Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
