I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Roy and all Marion's family, especially Donna, Robert and Ryan who I feel I have come to know through stories which Marion shared with me. She adored her nephews and was so proud of the wonderful young men they have become.
Roy and Marion my husband Gary and I became good friends during time spent together at Travelers Rest for several winters. We all enjoyed biking and took part in twice weekly excursions to many beautiful parks and conservation areas in the area. After our morning bike rides we enjoyed lunch together at various cozy restaurants which we discovered on our tours. Trips to movies and dinners at lovely restaurants were part of our regular entertainment.
During our bike trips we had the opportunity to visit and get to know each other and we soon found that we enjoyed many of the same things and shared similar opinions on many levels. We soon learned that Marion and Roy were both sincere, honest and caring people.
I am so sorry that Marion's life was so greatly shortened by the dreaded disease of cancer and hope that a cure will be soon discovered. I miss Marion very much and will always remember her as the clever, funny, caring and sweet person that she was.
