I have very fond memories of Mrs. West. I visited her home many times as a childhood friend of Doug. Mrs. West was always welcoming and genuinely loving to all the boys and girls she encountered. She always had a smile.
My deepest symphaty and condolences are offered to Doug and the family. You all are in my prayers to help get through this difficult time.

She was a tremendous joy to be around, and will be missed.
Ladies like your Mother are rare. Be very proud of the legacy that she and your Dad have left. I am sorry that I cannot attend the service but I am with grandchildren in Florida. Please know that you and your family have been, are and shall remain in our hope and prayers.

Doug,
Saddened to hear of your loss and our family is expressing our sympathies and our thoughts are with you. I can only read and reflect that your mom touched many lives as a teacher and must have been a great source of comfort, strength and patient guidance to you during lots of lean and challenging years as well as the good times. I hope she's at peace now and that you can soon begin to cherish what surely are plenty of pleasant memories.
