Mom,
You welcomed me into your family with such ease, over 24 years ago... amazing that after "stealing" your daughter away to Las Vegas, than coming closer after those first 5 years to Toledo for 11 years, then to leave again for a further destination to North Carolina, you always supported Cathy and I with every move we made (depiste how it affected you directly). The fact of the matter was, and still is, you loved our family, and our daughters so intensely that we always wanted to be near you and Dad whenever we could. We so loved just hanging out with you guys, watching old movies, playing cards, EATING, and just enjoying life for a few days...TOGETHER. The girls, like ALL THE OTHER GRAND CHILDREN you so dearly affected, loved to be with you, to read with, to whisper those secrets, sing the nursery songs, to admire dolls, to play wonder woman, dress up, barbies, water fights, April Fool's Day...and the list goes on.
You are truly a remarkable woman that touched so many lives with your giving heart. You always gave what you had....and more. You are the most generous person I know, you gave without regards for your own self comfort. You are truly a Christian in the truest sense of the word. The world would be a much better place if more people were just a little bit like you!
We celebrate that you are with your Lord now, out of the suffering and pain of the illness your fought for so many years. You are now running around in heaven with all the loved ones that went before you, and having the time of your life. I bet you are in control of the hose for the water fights!!!!!
Thank you for all you have done for me, all the love you shared, notably your youngest daughter who I was so privildeged to marry 24+ years ago. You and Don could not have given me anything more valuable than that....with the example of your faith as the only possible exception.
thank you, and we love you and willl miss you dearly.
Bob Walker and family.
