Sorry to hear about Leona's passing, I just happened to be on the site looking at some old memories of Grandpa Bee's service and saw her name in the current obituaries. I remember her well, living down the street from us (when we lived on Main Ave, before moving to West Virginia), I delivered papers there years ago. We lost Dad, (Pal) in 2005, right after Grandpa. To say Leona was just a friend is simply an understatement, she was a family member to all of us here in Florida and she is sincerly missed. I have known her my entire life nd she was like a grandmother to me and and great grandma to my son who misses her dearly as well. I have many many great memories, girls vacations with the hot tub and kalua, many times at the beach, and holidays was very special to her as well. Although she was fun loving and care free, I have never seen her look as peaceful as she did when we said goodbye to her in FL, Angelic even. She was one of the family. With all of my love, forever rest in peace.

Leona was a very dear friend of my family for many years. I have many fond memories of her while I was growing up. She was always there for you when you needed help. Even though we lost contact with each other, those memories will remain with me forever.

I am so sorry for your loss, Leona was like a second mom to me. She was a true friend to my family. Mom and her use to garage sale all the time.
She was so dear to me growing up, she took good care of me when I was little and hurt.
She will sadly be missed, but I know that her, Charlie, Mom and Dad are all in Heaven and they are having a ball like they use to.

You will be missed Aunt Leona ,I remember when I was a little girl and we would go to your house to see you ,We would play in the pool and have bon fired in the back yard You would always take me aside and give me bubble gum and if you did not have any you would give me a quarter to spend at poly store . You will be missed dearly but now we know you will be with uncle Charlie so you will not be alone. And now God will make you one of his Angles so open your wings and begin your Journey to Haven ) I love you Aunt Leona and when you see uncle Charlie tell him I love him to .

Its so hard to say goodbye to the one u love

i love her so very much and my heart is broken now she is gone i just want to see her smiling face and be wrapped up in warm embrace! walk to the beach hand in hand and look for seashells in the sand! looking up as we both see the sunset and her smiling face and laugh i will never forget
