I have so many fond memories of my sweet aunt. All the Sunday drives we took over to her place and all her wonderful cooking that I was too young to appreciate. Wish I had those recipes now!! She was such a strong independent woman that raised my 3 great cousins. I know my mom and dad held out their arms and welcomed her in Heaven.
Love to you all,
Cindy
remember every time Aunt Lena was in a room it lit up. The light shined through her eyes and smile. Although it showed externally that lite was from deep within her soul. A soul filled with passion, compassion and love. I remember once on a visit she shared photos of her dancing days with such a spice for life. The beauty of it was that age didn't diminish that spice, or spunk.
Aunt Lena made me feel Like I was the only person in the room when I was near her. She had a gift of making me and I am certain many others feel they were beyond special.
Truthfully, no words can do Aunt Lena any justice. No words needed, all heart!!1 She was amazing!
I am happy that you are in Heaven with the Angels that escorted you there and that you are visiting with our Lord as we speak. I am smiling while I think about it!
Oh, the memories from the "old" days...Lena and I worked together at HJ's in the mid 60's. She was very patient with this teenage waitress just learning the ropes. RIP Lena.
I have many fond memories of Aunt Lena and visiting her house as a young child. She was very loving and caring, had a wonderful laugh and sense of humor and gave the best hugs. I remember watching one of the first color television shows, Bonanza, on her color TV, which is still one of my favorite shows, and always brings back memories of Aunt Lena.
