Karen Westphal's Obituary
Karen L. Westphal, 49, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 25, 2011.
Karen was born on March 13, 1962 in Presque Isle, Maine. She attended and graduated from Presque Isle High School and then went on to attend the University of Maine. Karen worked as a store director for J. Crew.
Karen was an extremely active person who enjoyed being outdoors, engaging in physical activities like hiking and biking. She also loved animals, cooking, poetry, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Rodney K.; daughter, Nicole Chanel Westphal (Russell Clouse III) of Greenwood, IN; parents, Jane and Wayne Knight of North Ridgeville; sisters, Kathryn (John) Wise of Boston, MA, Karla (Eric) Hanneluis of Studio City, CA, and Kelley (Jason) Christy of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; father-in-law, A.W. Westphal of North Ridgeville; brother-in-law, Lynn (Marge) Westphal of North Ridgeville; aunt, Pauline Gallagher of Presque Isle, ME; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Gretchen Westphal.
Friends may call at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, on Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m.
