Dear Jeannie and family,
Very sorry to hear of your loss. Deepest condolences.
Love and sympathy,

Like us George brothers (Hal & Paul), the Zajac brothers (Ted & Julius) both had engineering degrees. After working at Zalo, Julius developed his real expertise & lifelong occupation - managing businesses. Julius let brother Ted handle the engineering. One Saturday morning Julius brought his son James to the Perry Fay plant to have the Manatrol prototype machinists finish James' pinewood derby race car. To equalize the competition the pinewood derby car is made from a standard issued kit of parts. The race car body is just a rectangular block of pine wood with two slots for the wheel axle shafts. Julius & James had carved some on the car body, but Julius wanted Gene Dellisant, Manatrol's expert prototype machinist, to finish it for James & him. Gene, who built & raced real top fuel dragsters himself, looked at the carved body & complemented them on the rear spoiler wing at the back of the car. Julius proudly responded "That is the car's radiator!". All those present had a hard time stifling their laughter. Julius' calling in life was definitely business, not engineering. Everyone involved with Manatrol's "Colorflow" flow control valves thank Julius for his business expertise since most of us made a lot of money on Perry Fay stock & eventually Parker Hannifin stock. Julius was a special man & he will be missed by all! God Bless, Hal George
The Zajac brothers' (Ted & Julius) simple idea in 1958 of color rings indicating the opening of a valve needle became their way to success. Over 55 years later even today Zajac's "Colorflow" valves are still the industry leader. The George brothers (Hal & Paul) joined the Zajac brothers in the late 1960s. All 4 brothers & engineers worked together shepherding the "Colorflow" valves their growth & industry leading years. 55 years later Hal George is still making sure the "Colorflow" valves remain the industry leader. Over the years Julius Zajac provided the leadership necessary to make "Colorflow" happen. I still remember sitting in his corner office at Perry-Fay Manatrol in March 1968 when Julius offered me a job after I graduated from Purdue University in June 1968. I accepted his job offer. 45 years later with Julius' involvement in 4 (Manatrol, Parker, Vectron, & Pines) of my 7 Fluidpower jobs, I still have high respect for Julius & no regrets about joining Manatrol in 1968. Julius will be missed by all! God Bless, Paul George
