John S. Mueller's Obituary
John S. Mueller, age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, following a short illness.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1998. He previously lived in Charlotte, North Carolina and Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
John served in the US Army from 1954-1956.
He worked as a color application manager for Ford Motor Company in Detroit for 23 years, retiring in 1980. He then went on to work at ACS (DataColor) for 13 years before retiring in 1996.
John enjoyed fishing, trains, woodworking, photography and meeting his friends for coffee.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Dianne (nee Young); sons, Robert (Lorie) Mueller of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Douglas (Cheryl) Mueller of Royal Oak, Michigan, John (Diane) Mueller of Bordentown, New Jersey; step-sons, Tom (Kyleen) Lyden of Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, Eric (Carrie) Lyden of Queens, New York; step-daughter, Michelle (John) Fones of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, J. Robert (Mary) Mueller of Searsport, Maine; sister, Mary Taie of S. Haven, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ramona Mueller and parents, Ewald and Mildred Mueller.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Community United Methodist Church, 680 Abbe Rd., Elyria. Rev. Kevin Coleman will officiate.
Burial will be on Monday, January 25th at 10:30 AM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
