John Christopher was my mechanic for many years. My brother Ed Luca referred me to him. He was the best & most honest mechanic there ever was. He explained everything so thoroughly! I called today hoping to make an appointment & was shocked to see he had passed away! He will be greatly missed. REST IN PEACE!

My dad Edward Barrington “Ed” worked with John Christopher at GM. Today we were looking him up because my dad wanted to go visit him. To our shock and sadness we found out he recently passed away. My dad lost touch with him since his retirement and health issues over the years. He always spoke so highly of John Christopher. We used to visit him at his home In Cleveland and North Olmsted. I remember he had a group of friends I think one was an Irish friend but his name fails me. I remember attending a clam bake In north olmsted right after John Christopher’s motorcycle accident. He showed us the long scar up his leg. As a kid I never forgot it. He was always so nice to my brother Jeff and I when we visited. I remember Jay jay when he was a little kid. John attended my wedding in 1989. My dad kept telling me today “John Christopher was the best mechanic he ever knew and a great friend”. My dad is sad he passed away and hopes to see him again in heaven. Prayers to your family during this difficult time. You have our deepest sympathy. God bless all of you. Sincerely Barbra Barrington-Smedley
I just heard of John's passing today at work from a co worker who had told me about John when I was in need of a mechanic. I only met him a few months ago when he did work on a vehicle of mine. But the few times I met John, he felt like an old friend. He ejoyed life, during on vehicles and Harleys. We talked about Sturgis. He made an impact on me and i will always have those few but very fond memories. My deepest sympathies to those who knew him well.... his family and friends. I know I am saddened and will miss him even though I knew him briefly. May fond memories help to keep you smiling.
Condolences,
