John A. Ackerman's Obituary
John A. Ackerman, age 66, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at University Hospital in Elyria.
John was born in Elyria and had been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville.
He worked as an electrical engineer for Ridge Tool, retiring in 2025 after 40 years.
John was a H.A.M. radio operator and enjoyed farming and raising chickens.
Survivors include his father, Ted Ackerman Sr. of North Ridgeville, brother, Ted (Carol) Ackerman Jr. of Shreve, sisters, Barbara (Jack) Hoyt of New Russia Twp., Jill Brentzel of Austin, Texas, nieces and nephews Janelle (Jeff) White, Andrew (April) Ackerman, Sarah (Christian) Sent, Rebecca (James) Reynolds, Benjamin (Amanda) Hoyt, Julia (Robbie) Beall, Jakob Brentzel, many great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann (nee Diederich) Ackerman and brother-in-law, Brent Brentzel.
Private services were held.
