Joe E.'s Obituary
Joe E. May, Sr., age 60, of North Ridgeville, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at his home; following a long illness.
He was born February 8, 1945 in Cleveland. He had resided in North Ridgeville since 1976; having moved from Cleveland.
Mr. May served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era.
He worked as a operations manager for Aircraft Services International for the past 12 years. He previously worked for BP Oil and Sohio.
He was a member of Saint Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville.
His joy was in helping other people. He also enjoyed golf, collecting matchbox cars, american heritage eagles, his Harley motorcycle, playing darts and pool.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Josephine L.(nee LoParo) May; daughter, Louise (Vincent) Nagy of; Cave Creek, AZ; sons, Joe E. May, Jr., of North Ridgeville and Charles A. (Carrie) May, of Parma Heights; brother, Jim (Barbara) May, of Cleveland; sister, Toni (Matthew)May-Samar, of Brighton, MI; 5 grandchildren, Kyle Short, Brittany Nagy, Brenden Nagy, Kathleen Nagy, and Allison May; niece, Emily Samar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe B. and Kathleen M. (Cannon) May and one sister, Sue Cornett.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 20, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville; where, prayers will be said on Monday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at Saint Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, pastor, will celebrate the Mass.
Interment will follow in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio
