Joanne Whitten's Obituary
Joanne Sue Whitten (nee Resko), age 55, of Elyria, passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at her home.
She was born in Elyria, grew up in North Ridgeville but spent most of her adult life in Elyria.
Joanne worked as a receptionist for RW Beckette for 12 years and in customer service for Riddel in Elyria.
She was a member of Al-Anon and St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville where she was a Eucharistic Minister and volunteer at the monthly outreach dinners.
She also was a chairperson for Relay for Life in Elyria for the past 2 years.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Ken (Jen) Whitten of Elyria, Eric (Meagan) Whitten of Wellington; grandchildren, Kielee, Drew, Emma, Jillian, Jack, Payten and Cooper Whitten; parents, Louis and Mary Resko of North Ridgeville; sisters, Marie (Jim) Dault of Florence, Alice (Steve) Logsdon of Houston, Texas; brothers, Louis Resko Jr. of Houston, Texas, Larry Resko of LaGrange..
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Margaret Resko and infant brother, Charles Anthony Resko.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where prayers will be on Monday at 9:30 AM. A 10 AM Mass will follow at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
