I will miss my Uncle Jimmy. He was always there in Ohio.
Sometimes we regret the things we've done and sometimes we regret the things we haven't done.
One thing I will never regret is being my father's daughter and my uncle's niece.
It is truly amazing what we can learn about a person just listening. Uncle Jimmy's illness did not allow me to sit and chat a while. It would have been fun catching up on all we missed.
However, the few precious moments I spent with him and his family showed me why they loved him so much. He was a man who worked hard for his family, loved golf, chocolate eclairs and spending time with his grandchildren.
His life was cut short unfairly but his memories will live on strong in the hearts of his loved ones. He was a very strong man 'til the end.
So, the moral to this story is:
Never regret the things you haven't done or the things you have done. Just do them and know that you are only human and sometimes life does not work out exactly as planned. For whatever reason do what you can do and know it is the best you can do.
I will never forget the moments I spent with my uncle, of a man with a really big smile and always remember that I was able to say goodbye.
All my love, Jean
Dear Jim, Not knowing your dad but knowing you I can only think that he one one wonderful person. I just want to wish my condolences to you and yourfamily

Dear Family: Many years have passed since I saw Jimmy. I remember once, about 1950 when Jimmy and Buddy went with the Roy Tabor family from Bluefield, WV to visit uncle Earl Tabor who had moved to Raleigh, NC. There was a pond on the farm that Uncle Earl managed and we spent nearly all day in the water, every day, while we were there. Either Jimmy or Buddy got such a sunburn all he could do was say "Can't stand it much longer". What a great time a group of kids from the WV mountains had.
Our line of FIRST COUSINS are passing on with increasing frequency. May we all meet again in Heaven. God Bless!
Jessee and Margaret Tabor
