Howard Schultz was my great-uncle ,he was a great man from the greatest generation. I had not seen him in twenty years unfortunately I moved out of state and lost touch. I remember as a child he would show me his silver star and WW2 uniform , but he never boasted always telling me he served only to stop evil. He was also the most honest man I have ever met. My father would brag about Uncle Howie, and he always acted like he did nothing . His love of coin collecting, and respect of the military are still embedded with me today. I only wish I could have told him this before he passed. He will forever be in my heart. Keith Karako
My Grandpa, my Godparent, and the Greatest Great Grandpa to my daughter. He was loving, generous, caring, loyal, and always had the best sense of humor. Grandpa was always there for his family when they needed him and he was always checking up on us to make sure we were ok. He was an amazing husband to my Grandma, and then after she passed away, he was lucky enough to have met Gloria and brought her into our lives. I remember as a kid when my parents went Christmas shopping out of town every year and Grandpa would always play games with me and my brother. Then him and my Grandma would make us breakfast the next morning and Grandpa would do the dishes and he'd always hum a tune while he did. At Christmas, he always signed everything as "Scrooge", but in reality, he had a heart of gold and loved us all so much. I'm so glad to have had him in my most important life events; he drove my mom to the hospital in a blizzard for me, he baptized me as my Godparent, he was at my birthday parties, my wedding, and most importantly, he was in my daughter's life as well. He always gave Isabel the best kisses and hugs and said how pretty she was. He treated my husband like he had always been a part of the family and always called him his grandson too. I will truly miss not having my Grandpa here physically, but I know he will be watching over us, making sure we're still staying out of trouble. I will miss seeing your smile and your little wave every month at breakfast the most. Love you Grandpa and we will miss you terribly!
miss you.
