My sweet husband and his beloved Bob the wonder dog. He braved hemodialysis and chemotherapy for two years. He was strong throughout, however this was a battle not to be won.
I will forever miss Gordon...until we meet again on the other side.

I was Gordon's lunch buddy for his Appeals years and for many years into retirement. I will forever remember his comical stories. Thoroughly enjoyed picking him up for our final lunch in mid-December and visiting him at the Ames House (hospice). I saw first-hand the care and love given by Liz to Gordon.
Gordon served his country well as an employee and a military leader. He truly loved his Naval Service. Even in his final months, Gordon was a "fighter" in whatever he pursued.
We will truly miss him at lunch, but his memories will last.

Branch 17 of the Fleet Reserve Association is very sorry to hear of the passing of our shipmate Gordon. Shupmate Gordon has recieved his final orders from the commanding officer. His new duty station, HEAVEN, He will be greeted by all of the shipmates that have gone before him and await the arrival of all of his shipmates who will recieve orders in the fiture. I worked with Gordon for at least 20 years in Appeals. Always very helpful and friendly. He was the union rep and made sure we were well represented and happy. Gordon and I were often the last two working at night, and he would joke as he was leaving: Jack, I don't want you to report us for working unauthorized overtime. I had the privilege of seeing him at lunch just a few weeks ago with his Navy jacket on. He proudly served his country. Will miss seeing him at lunch.
