Eleanor Huffman's Obituary
Eleanor M. Huffman (nee Janas), age 83, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday May 2, 2010 at New Life Hospice Residential Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a short illness.
She was born in Elyria. She resided in North Ridgeville the past 8 years after moving from Sebring, Florida. She previously lived in Michigan for most of her life.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. She was devoted to her family and all that knew and loved her for her loving, caring personality. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and listening to music.
Mrs. Huffman was an investigator for the State of Michigan Department of Labor until retiring in 1977.
Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Huffman of Albuquerque, NM, son, Michael (Lynn) Huffman of Williamston, MI, four grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, sister, Evelyn Zickes of Avon and Doreen (Ralph) Travise of Jonesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1991, daughter, Marie McLachlan in 2002, parents Ben and Jennie Janas, and her brother, Benedict Janas in 1999.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road N. Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday. A 10 AM Mass will follow at St. Julie Billiart Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Road N. Ridgeville. Rev. Dr. Richard Gonser, Pastor will be the celebrant. Private interment will take place in Florida National Cemetery.
