Douglas Hines' Obituary
Douglas Earl Hines, age 54, of Avon, passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 at his home following a sudden illness.
Born in Lorain, he was a resident of Avon since 1997 moving from Elyria.
Douglas was very proud to have served his country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a Senior Procurement Coordinator for USG in Westlake for 33 years, retiring in 2008.
He enjoyed gardening, taking cruises and spending time with his children.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Hines; son, Steven Hines both of Avon; brothers, Terry Hines of Sheffield Village, Mitchell Hines of Lorain, Timothy (Lori) Hines of Elyria; sister, Patricia (Lou) Tilton of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and his Father, Earl T. Hines of Sheffield Lake.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ona Maxine Hines.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held 10 AM Saturday in the funeral home.
Pastor Eddie Russ, of Avon Lake Baptist Church will officiate.
