Doris M. Lauer's Obituary
Doris M. Lauer (nee Rader), age 91, of Elyria, passed away on December 25, 2014 at the University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.
She was born on March 11, 1923 in Belmore, Ohio and has been a resident of Elyria since 1946, moving from Grafton.
She had worked for many years as a cook at the Howard Johnson and LK Restaurants.
She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family, gardening and working outdoors on her John Deere tractor.
She is survived by her children Evelyn Lauer of Elyria, Vivian (George) Martin of East Springfield, OH, Arthur (Paulene) Lauer of Elyria, David (Dawn) Lauer of Elyria and George Lauer of North Olmsted; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother Glen (Darlene) Rader and sister-in-law Generosa Rader; many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Russell in 2001; daughter-in-law Carol; great grandson David Postma Jr.; parents Fred and Ruth (nee Johns) Rader; sister Irene Trott; brothers Delbert and Melvin Rader; sister-in-law, Phyllis Rader and brother-in-law Raymond Trott. Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Monday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of an 11:00 a.m. service. Rev. Randy McKinney will officate. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of Flowers, family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
