Doris Kress' Obituary
Doris Ann Kress (nee Wardeberg), age 73, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Southwest General Residential Hospice Center in Strongsville.
She was born in Barnesville, Minnesota and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 13 years, moving from Columbia Station where she lived for 26 years.
Doris worked as a secretary for Columbia Middle School for 10 years, retiring in 2001.
She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran in Strongsville and more recently at Faith Lutheran Church in Avon.
She enjoyed reading and spending time by the waterside. She spent her last several winters in Venice, Florida. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Elmer; daughter, Debbie (Todd) Johnson of South Euclid, Laura Kress of Columbia Station; sons, Eric (Luise) Kress of Macedonia, Dan (Katie) Kress of Spencer; 9 grandchildren; brother George E. (Deanna) Wardeberg of Naples, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. and Antonia Wardeberg.
Visitations Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville. Services will be Saturday 10 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 2265 Garden Dr., Avon. Pastor David Woolsey will officiate.
Burial will be in Royalton Road Cemetery, Columbia Twp.
