Donald Moore's Obituary
Donald E. "Don" Moore, age 66 of Grafton passed away Friday July 10, 2009 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a one year illness.
He was born in Cincinnati. He had resided in Grafton the past 32 years after moving from South Bend, Indiana.
Mr. Moore was a Patrolman with the North Ridgeville Police Department for the past 22 years. He was certified as a Master Evidence Technician, was an Instructor at the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy and Lorain County Community College.
Don enjoyed photography, woodworking and was a competitive shooter. He was a member of the NRA, F.O.P. Lodge 25 and the International Association of Identifiers.
He is survived by his wife Judyan (nee Knapmeyer), three sons, Russ (Julie) Moore of Poplar Grove, Illinois, Todd Moore of Cincinnati, and Craig (Mary Beth) Moore of Centerville, Ohio, five grandchildren, Nathanael and Megan Stenger, Patrick, Kathleen and Sarah Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia Moore.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road N. Ridgeville where funeral services will take place 11 AM Wednesday. Reverend Brian Palmer, Chaplin of NRPD will officiate.
