Dear Paul and Joan,
One of the special experiences of life is that through out you meet what I consider unforgettable characters that have an influence on your own life. Don was one of those unforgettable characters of my life.
Still to this day I refer to his business sense on many an occasion. He gave me opportunities that most do not get.
I will always remember his excitement with the ever changing technology. He called me into his office once, all excited to show me his new laptop with Microsoft Windows. When he lit it up, there were icons covering the whole screen. He tried to show me some things and kept getting aggravated because with his big fingers he kept hitting the wrong keys and getting things all messed up. While it was aggravating to him it was rather comical to me.
I remember many lectures on various business philosophies. Some were a little wild but most were right on the money.
I’m glad he had a long life and I will remember him always.
I remember he was especially proud of his service to his country.
