Donald Mankes' Obituary
Donald A. Mankes, age 69, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a long illness.
He was born in Cleveland, where he spent most of his life, before moving to North Ridgeville.
Donald was the owner and operator of Mankes Pallet Service for 32 years before retiring in 2008.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed fishing and was a very handy person who could fix just about anything.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; daughters, Julie (Andrew) Jones of Millersburg, Karen (Richard) Boyson of Columbus; grandchildren, Natalie, AJ, Megan and Lauren; sister, Patricia (David) Humphrey of Three Rivers, California; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ronald; sister, Grace Dean and parents, Anthony and Harriett Mankes.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where a prayers service will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
