Donald K. Givens' Obituary
Donald K. Givens, age 90, of Elyria, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born in Martins Ferry and had spent most of his life in Elyria.
He served in the US Navy as a Navy Seal during the Korean War.
Donald worked as a plant manager for Columbia Metals, retiring after 25 years.
He was a member of VFW Post 9871 and the American Legion in North Ridgeville and enjoyed fishing, going on car rides with his wife, traveling, watching college football, NASCAR and also enjoyed good dining.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary (Barry) Woods of Texas, son, David (Karen) Givens of Columbia Station, grandchildren, Amanda and Ralph Russo and niece, Debbie (Chuck) Lance of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice, sister, Phyllis Burke, brother-in-law, Richard Burke and niece, Laurie Derringer.
Friends may call Friday from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Chaplin Danny Parsons will officiate.
Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville.
