I remember when walked up to tell him that I had proposed to Teresa he was sitting down I the family room. I walked up to him and said I have something to tell you about Teresa. I..... then suddenly he stood up and he looked like he was going to kill me. Then I said "really fast" that I had proposed to Teresa. Then he said oh and he sat back down and said I thought you were going to say she was pregnant. Instead of it being one of the most enjoyable moments of my life.....IT WAS ONE OF THE SCARIEST!!!!😂
I, as I 'm a Nana now, tend to think about my granddaughters all the time... well all I can say is that he loved his great grandbabies so very much. He was always trying to get them to laugh!!! He really loved their hugs and kisses so much!!! And they we will always and forever love him and they will too!💕💕💕
Oh Papaw... I have so many memories I don't know which to choose. For that, I am thankful. I am blessed to have had you as my grandfather. I remember how much you loved gardening, & planting food. You touched so many people's lives. You live on in our hearts and in spirit forever. I love you!
Being his granddaughter of 34 years, I have so many great memories. Last year at my wedding my Papaw Carey joined me on the dance floor during "Twist and Shout". It is saved forever in photographs and in my memory. He loved all of his family so very much. I love you always, Papaw! Until we meet again....
