Carlyle E. Smith, age 70, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Stein Hospice Unit in Sandusky. He was born in Fort Riley, Kansas and had been a resident of Sandusky for the past 2 years formerly of Read Obituary
I had the pleasure of having Coach Smith as my Freshmen Football coach. The last time we spoke he told me he told everyone he coached after me stories about me and how mean i was on the field. I got to introduce him to my son which made me so proud. I respected him so much and what he did for me in my life that i could never thank him enough. Im am so thankfull to have known him. Carlyle very talented...played at the Wakeman Elevator and we all loved his soft demeanor...he was also a hero in the area...having saved the children in cages. Good man will be missed
Carlyle was so blessed with having a photographic memory being a singer and songwriter. He was blessed with a beautiful heart and soul and he captured the people with his voice that filled their hearts like no one did in Northern Ohio . As a cousin, him and other friends formed a band in the late 60’s and they were my introduction to music for the rest of my life. Carlyle was a great athlete in baseball and football. There wasn’t anything I think he couldn’t do ! He was simply an amazing incredible man ! I’ll Love You Forever Carlyle and You’ll Never be Forgotten ! ❤️❤️❤️
I could not have asked for a better husband than Carlyle! He loves me with his whole heart and then some!! We started out just as good friends, which turned into love!! And I will cherish every single memory that we made together! I miss him so much, and a piece of my heart went with him on his journey to heaven.
