Among all the good times I had conversing with Bernie about baseball and sports in general, one of the best things that Bernie got me interested in was the idea of making dollhouses. I liked it so much that I started doing the same for my family. He took me to his "dollhouse" person where I ordered my first dollhouse. I talked with Bernie and he guided me through the steps of putting together a dollhouse. And when I made an error or got stuck, he gave advise on how to make it look like it was part of the build. In the winter months I made dollhouses for my granddaughters and have carried on the tradition he started. Then the time came when Bernie said he was retiring from building dollhouses and gave me his intricate dollhouse tools. I will treasure them always and in his memory, hope to pass them along to my children/grandchildren.

I really miss Bernie and Gerry. They showed me what the sacrament of marriage is all about.

So sad to hear that another neighbor from the Westwood Drive family has passed on. He was another person that was a part of my growing up.
I am glad that he was a part of my younger years.
Sorry for your loss but he lived a long life and is now at rest.

Bernie was such good friends with my Father Bernie Noll. You never knew what they were up to next with church activities and city business. What a great friend he was. I am sure they are planing great things in heaven. May he rest in peace.

Gerry, I was so saddened to see the obit today and learn of Bernie's passing. It has been many years since I last saw the two of you but so enjoyed your company traveling together. Both of you were great to have around. I will never forget the beautiful quilt you made for me out of scraps I gave you because I really am not a "quilter". And the Christmas Village Bernie made for me was an amazing gift - both full of love and the talents you both possessed. Thank you for all the wonderful memories we made while I was at EST/FirstMerit. You both have left a footprint on my heart. With love and prayers for both of you, Carolyn Lawrence
