I worked with Don for the last ten years at the North Ridgeville Police Department and I was fortunate to have known him for so long. I knew him as a dedicated Police Officer, photographer, evidence technician, corvette enthusiast, downhill skier, carpenter, electrician, shooter, and most memorable, as a dear friend. Don was always willing to help out others and displayed so much patience when teaching or mentoring others. Two winters ago, Don taught me how to ski, something I had never done in my life. In less than an hour, he had me skiing on the expert hill. This was just one of the many things Don did that made me a better person and a better Police Officer. I cannot list in this space all he did to help myself and others. We have lost a great asset to our lives with Don's passing. My life will not be the same without him. My thoughts and prayers will be with Don and his family forever. And Don.....thanks so much....I owe you one.
