Zenis Norris' Obituary
Zenis "Zeke" Norris, age 86, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Center Ridge Nursing Home, North Ridgeville, following a long illness.
He was born in Lodi and had been a resident of Elyria since February 2008 moving from Greenville, Tennessee where he lived for 18 years. He previously had lived in Cleveland.
Mr. Norris served in the US Army during WWII.
He worked as a die setter for MTD in Cleveland, retiring in 1988 after 35 years.
Zenis was a former member of Mount Hebron Methodist Church in Greenville, TN.
He enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include son, Michael of Elyria; daughters, Ruth Gibson of Elyria, Pat (Dan) Healy of Columbia Station; step-daughter, Kathy (Paul) Sattler of Strongsville; 11 grandchildren; many great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie; second wife, Mary; sister, Nancy Hiltbrunner; brothers, George, Dave, Willard, Noble and Robert Norris.
Friends may call from 2-6 P.M. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Sr. Rita Costello of New Life Hospice will officiate.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi where VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville will conduct full military graveside rites.
