Wilma June Whalen's Obituary
Wilma June Whalen (nee Frazee) age 91, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center.
She was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1954 moving from Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
Wilma worked as a clerk for Rite Aid drug store in North Olmsted for many years, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elyria, Eastern Star, North Ridgeville Senior Center, was very active in Cub scouts, Boy scouts and helped with the concession stand at Palmer Filed during her sons Hot Stove League. She enjoyed traveling, camping and saw all the states except for Hawaii.
Survivors include her children, Jane Spade of Farmington, PA, David (Cathy) of Grafton, Frank “Tom” (Tina) of Berea, Audrey (Tim) Robinson of Sheffield Lake, John (Elaine) of Avon, Tim of Ashland; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse David Whalen; parents, Fred and Hildreth Frazee; sisters, Margaret Conn, Lillian Martin, Agnes Hoover and an infant brother.
Services will be private. We will live-stream the services on Facebook 11AM Thursday. A public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
