Willie Sumner's Obituary
Willie O. Sumner, age 82, of North Eaton, passed away, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Villa Camillus Nursing Home, Columbia Station following an extended illness.
He was born in Fayette County , West Virginia and was a resident of North Eaton since 1966 moving from Cleveland.
Willie worked at York, International in Elyria for 13 years retiring in 1990. Following his retirement, he performed numerous other handyman jobs.
He had attended Christian Unity Church in North Eaton and was a member of the Quarry Masonic Lodge #382 in Berea.
Survivors include his son, William of North Eaton; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa in 2002; sisters, Ines Allen, Alberta Suesberry; brothers, Hobert and Herman Sumner and parents, Posey and Nancy Jane Sumner.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday, March 15, 2010 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in the funeral home. Rev. Denver Daniel, pastor of Christian Unity Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 72924 Cleveland, OH 44194.
