William E. "Pete" Peterson's Obituary
William E. “Pete” Peterson, age 85, of Grafton, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph in Lorain after a brief illness. He was born on January 8, 1938 in Hutchinson, Kansas and has been a resident of Grafton for the past 8 years, moving from Wellington, Elyria and Brunswick. He worked as a heavy equipment hauler for Rich’s Towing and Service in Middleburg Heights for over 20 years. Pete loved to work with his son on his stock cars, and was involved in stock car and drag racing for many years. He enjoyed watching the birds at the feeder and was an avid online poker player. Pete is survived by his wife Hazel (nee Taylor); children Jason (Christa) Peterson of Henrietta Township, Glorine (Lance) Vlach of Cleveland and Richard (Cori) Peterson of Parma Heights; stepchildren Robert (Gayle) Prunty of Cleveland, Christine (Mike) Perry and Theresa Perry; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Roland (Mildred) Peterson of Ord, Nebraska; sister Kathaleen Nelson of Longmont, Colorado; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons William Eric and George Aaron Peterson; parents George and Mae Belle (nee Diven) Peterson; brothers Steven and Forrest Peterson. Memorial visitation will be on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
