William Nash's Obituary
William "Will" Nash Jr., age 78, of Livonia, Michigan and formerly N. Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Anglia Hospice, Livonia, Michigan, following a long illness.
Born in Wood, Pennsylvania he had been a resident of Livonia for the past 5 years moving from N. Ridgeville, where he had lived for 45 years. He previously resided in Cleveland.
Mr. Nash served the Army during WWII.
He worked as a truck driver for Southern Express trucking company, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of N. Ridgeville Baptist Church, Teamsters Union Local 407 and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9871, N. Ridgeville.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Helen (nee Simmons); son, William Nash of Elyria; daughters, Karen Motyka of N. Ridgeville, Linda Neiding of Marienville, PA, Wanda Wightman of Fallen, NV, Catherine Whitney of San Jose, CA, Suzy Gervacio of Santa Cruz, CA, Kimberly Mott of Livonia, MI; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; step-mother, Ruby Nash of Cleveland and half-brother, Richard Nash of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ada Nash; brother, Herald Nash and grandson, Joey Nash.
Friends may call Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville, where VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors at 7:00 PM.
